Byron Humphries
BSc (Hons), Associate member CIEEM
Byron joined the team at Wharton in July 2022 as an Ecological Consultant. He has a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science and four years’ experience working in ecology. Byron has experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects as well as smaller scale residential and commercial developments.
Byron has developed a strong skillset in protected species and habitat surveys including Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, great crested newt, reptile, and bat surveys. He has a keen interest and understanding in working with nature to develop in a way that humans and the environment work together sustainably.
Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons) Environmental Science
- Natural England Great Crested Newt Level 2 Class Licence
- City and Guilds Tree Climbing Licence
- Associate member of CIEEM

- Tipple of choice: Either a good ale or a pina colada depending on how hot it is.
- Interesting fact: I was the co-host of an award nominated student radio breakfast show at university.

- If money were no option I would: Probably buy a woodland in some Welsh hills, set up a disc golf course and make it a haven for nature.
