Summary: The 17th C Manor House and its associated outbuildings were surveyed and bat roosts were found, including a maternity brown long-eared roost, common pipistrelle day roosts and night roosts of lesser horseshoe and whiskered bat.
A mitigation licence was obtained on approval of planning, and supervision of removal of roost features was successfully undertaken.
Mitigation included the retention of the maternity void, creation of a lesser horseshoe night roost, retention and creation of roost access points and installation of several bat boxes in the grounds of the Manor House.. Monitoring of the success of the features is ongoing.
